The Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance (CSTA) is pleased to announce the finalists of the 2014 PRESTIGE Awards (Program Recognizing Exceptional Sport Tourism Initiatives, Games & Events), which celebrate the people, places and events that make the Canadian sport tourism industry so dynamic and important to the economic fabric of communities across the Country.
Held in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador in June, 2013, the ISBHF World Ball Hockey Championships are one of three finalists for the CSTA Canadian Sport Event of the Year Award in the category of events with a budget less than $250,000. The awards announcement will be made at the CSTA Conference in Edmonton, Alberta on April 3rd.
The Worlds will be competing against the 2013 Canadian Judo National Championships (Richmond, BC) and the 2013 Mastercraft Calgary Pro Shootout (Calgary, AB).
