ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
Sport Tourism Event Partnership (STEP) St. John’s is a sport tourism partnership with eight partners who have a vested interest in growing the sport tourism industry. STEP member partners are Destination St. John’s, the City of St. John’s, the City of Mount Pearl, the Town of Paradise, the Town of CBS, Celebrate NL, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and Sport NL. STEP’s mission is to work with provincial and local sport organizations to grow a strong sport tourism industry that provides exceptional value to sporting events, drives economic benefits for the region, and advances the region’s capacity to host sporting events on the provincial, national, and international stage.
PROJECT SUMMARY
STEP St. John’s (STEP) wishes to secure the services of an accredited, full-service consultant to develop a framework for prioritization of sport event prospects and development of an event funnel/bid process.
