The Major Midget AAA Atlantics, hosted in partnership with Hockey NL and the town of Conception Bay South, will run from March 31st to April 3rd 2016. The event brings together top‐level Major Midget AAA hockey players from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador to compete for the Atlantic Championship.
The following teams will be competing on behalf of their respective hockey branches:
Hockey Nova Scotia: Dartmouth Steele Subaru Major Midget
Hockey New Brunswick: Saint John Vito’s Major Midget
Hockey PEI: Kensington Wild Major Midget
Hockey NL: St. John’s Maple Leafs Major Midget
Host: St. John’s Global Warranty Privateers Major Midget
Games begin on March 31st at the new Conception Bay South Arena, with the official opening ceremonies taking place that evening at 7:30pm when the Dartmouth Steele Subaru (HNS) face off against the Host St. John’s Global Warranty Privateers. The gold medal game is slated for Sunday, April 3rd at 12:00pm. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase at Conception Bay Arena.
“Our Committee has made it a priority to provide a first-rate event for all five teams and the fans who will watch things unfold. We enjoy what we do and hopefully it will show in our final product”, stated Tim Power, Host Chair 2016 Major Midget Atlantics.
