Congrats to AUS Women’s Soccer Champion MUN Sea-Hawks

The  Memorial Sea-Hawks have won the 2014 Subway AUS Championship after Jesse Noseworthy scored two goals in the second half to give the Sea-Hawks a 3-1 over the top-ranked UNB Varsity Reds. This is the first AUS soccer banner for Memorial (men’s or women’s) since 1973 and the first ever in the women’s team history. The Sea-Hawks had lost both previous matches against the Varsity Reds this season, but they won when it mattered as they handed the Varsity Reds just their second loss in all of 2014. The team is now off to Quebec City for the 2014 CIS women’s soccer championship after winning the AUS banner and will square off against Fraser Valley in their opening match.
